Calling all Brussels SMEs: take the next step in digitalization with my innovation center.brussels!
Brussels, 28 March 2022 – Even in today’s computerized world, many smaller Brussels SMEs are lagging behind when it comes to digitalization.
To tackle this issue, boost the degree of digitalization among the European capital’s smallest businesses and help them take the next step, my innovation center.brussels is organizing free digital coaching sessions, open to all Brussels-based SMEs of up to ten employees.
Over 400 entrepreneurs and SMEs supported, over 400 jobs created, and over 1.500 sessions organized: these are just a few examples of what mic.brussels has achieved in its ten years of existence. But, work remains to be done – a lot of work.
“On the field, we notice that plenty of Brussels’ smallest SMEs have a website and do a bit of social media, but still have a long way to go when it comes to digitalizationon an operational level, for instance in terms of internal processes to optimize their way of working. This leaves a lot of room for improvement, to facilitate work and enhance efficiency”, states Cécile Jabaudon, Operational Director at my innovation center.brussels.
That is why mic.brussels is organizing free digital coaching sessions for Brussels-based SMEs of up to ten employees, disposing of a functioning website and professional email aliases. As a participant, you will benefit from:
- An exchange on digitalization with other SMEs;
- An overall view of the situation of your SME, and what you need to prioritize in terms of digital transformation;
- An analysis of your website and the possibilities for improvement;
- Advice on how to better manage your customer and supplier relationships;
- An exchange on collaborative suites that suit your SME;
- An opportunity to improve the digitalization of your commercial, administrative and financial processes;
- The relevance of (not) using an ERP.
Robin du Parc, founder and managing director of Primes Services, an SME of 6 employees specialized in subsidies for individuals and companies, shares his experience after participating in a similar workshop in 2021.
“The coaching has been very beneficial to us, as it gave us highly useful insights on our level of digitalization as a company, and a view on what we needed to prioritize. As a result, we gave our website a much-needed makeover, and were able to optimize our internal processes. Next thing we’ll be looking at is redesigning our ERP. In short, the session by mic.brussels really boosted our digitalization process, by putting us on the right track.”
The workshops will take place in small groups of 6 companies, under the expert guidance of Karin Maquet. As a consultant, she specializes in SME development, particularly through digitalization.
